years ago it all started. It all started
with a priest, a businessman and a journalist. South Carolina
Monsignor George Lewis Smith, Roger Huntington of the Greenville
Hospital Benefit Association, and Columbia journalist George
Buchanan shared a vision. They wanted to create a non-profit
prepaid hospital plan for the Palmetto State. |

In 1954, the Columbia,
Anderson, and Greenville operations were established as separate
and distinct companies for the exclusive distribution of
Anheuser-Busch, Inc. products. These companies were known as PYA
Distributing Companies and proved to be very successful in
gaining market share and establishing Budweiser as the number
one beer in our markets.
In 1967, we were able to get permission from Anheuser-Busch,
Inc. to change the names of our companies to Budweiser of
Columbia, Budweiser of Greenville, and Budweiser of Anderson.
Each was a separate and distinct company with a defined
territory assigned to us by the brewery.
In 2001, our companies operate 88 routes in 14 counties in the
central and northwestern portions of South Carolina. We serve
nearly 3000 on and off-premise retail accounts, selling over 10
million cases of Anheuser-Busch, Inc. products annually. As our
market share continues to increase, we are proud to introduce
additional Anheuser-Busch, Inc. products. |

The South Carolina Propane
Gas Association is a trade and membership service organization
that represents propane marketers throughout the state. Founded
March 25, 1948, the Association has grown in its influence,
while maintaining its core principles of education and safety.
The Associations' primary purpose is to maintain high standards
of practice within the industry, and in so doing, protect and
expand the ability of its members to compete in the marketplace. |

We are a small but growing

providing full-line, full-service distribution to convenience
stores and restaurants, primarily located in South Carolina,
North Carolina and Georgia.
Founded in Durham, North Carolina, the partnership of C. C.
Thomas and C. L. Howard was soon joined by J. E. Timberlake, who
was responsible for the growth of the company throughout the
